Home appliances and whitegoods (fridges, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, air conditioners), TVs and audio, drones, smartwatches and fitness devices, and smart home gear. Discounts on computers and phones are limited at the moment due to supplier pricing restrictions, but it’s still worth asking. If it’s an electrical, gas or technology product, send it through for a quote.
How does the buying service work?
You tell us the make and model you want and the best price you’ve found. Our member benefits team and preferred Western Australian suppliers then use ShopRite’s collective buying power to negotiate a sharper price on that exact product, and we come back to you with the deal.
How much can I save?
Savings vary by product, brand and the deals available at the time, but members regularly pay less than the advertised retail price. Because the quote is free and there’s no obligation, it always pays to check with us before you buy.
Do I have to be a member?
Yes — this is a member benefit. Membership is available through affiliated unions, charities and workplace organisations across WA, and it’s free to use the appliance buying service once you’re a member. If you’re not sure whether you’re eligible, see Why Join or register an account.
Can I request a quote while I’m in the store?
Yes. The free ShopRite app is built for exactly that — enter the model number and the price you’ve seen, add it to your quote list and submit it without leaving the shop floor. Download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Is there a cost to use the service?
No. Requesting a quote and using the buying service is a free benefit of your ShopRite membership. There are no points to collect and no fees — you simply get access to better pricing.

A few simple habits make your savings go further. Here’s how members get the most out of the ShopRite appliance buying service.
Start with the exact model number
Appliance pricing turns on the precise model — two fridges that look identical can carry different model numbers, warranties and prices. Note the full model number from the spec sticker, the in-store tag or the retailer’s website before you send it through. The more precise you are, the more accurately our team and suppliers can quote the exact product you want, not a lookalike.
Compare the total cost, not just the ticket price
The advertised price is rarely the whole story. Delivery across the Perth metro and regional WA, installation, connection and removal of your old appliance all add up, and they vary widely between retailers. When you weigh up quotes, look at the delivered, installed price — and tell us if you need those included so we can factor them into what we chase for you.
Time it around the big sale events
Appliances are discounted hardest around end of financial year, Black Friday, Boxing Day and the major long weekends, so if your purchase can wait for one of those windows it often pays to. You don’t have to wait, though — send us a quote any time of year and we’ll see what we can do against the current market.
Weigh up running costs, not just the purchase price
On big whitegoods like fridges, washing machines, dryers and air conditioners, the energy and water rating matters as much as the sticker price. A cheaper model can cost more to run over its life, so check the star rating and estimated annual running cost before you commit.
